What if my EB-5 visa tag is not available in my biometrics form?

I am the principal applicant for EB-5 rural projects. My preferred program Category is ” RR ” ( Employment Based: 5 th Set Aside – Rural) as mentioned in NVC confirmation letter. However, while creating a Biometric application, I am not seeing RR as a VISA Class Tag option for selection. I have only the I-5 selection for the target area VISA Type. Is this normal?

Yes, this is normal and expected for EB-5 rural set-aside applicants like you. The "RR" (Rural Reserved) designation is a specific subcategory within the broader EB-5 employment-based fifth preference (E5) immigrant visa classification. It is not typically listed as a standalone option in the visa class dropdown for the DS-260 online immigrant visa application (which feeds into the biometrics scheduling process via the National Visa Center, or NVC). Instead, the system uses the general "I5" code for all EB-5 investor principal applicants, regardless of set-aside status (rural, high unemployment, infrastructure, or unreserved.

I am not sure. You may need to check with tech support. If this is just for biometrics appointment though I would not be concerned.
