Western Washington Regional Center, located in Seattle, Wash., became a UCSIS-designated regional center in August 2011. The regional center is authorized to direct foreign capital into projects and businesses that will foster the creation of jobs in the United States. The regional center is allowed to create investment opportunities in the industries of real estate, construction, store retailers, and professional, scientific, and technical services. Western Washington Regional Center’s geographic scope includes the counties of King, Snohomish, Pierce and Kitsap in Washington state.

Western Washington Regional Center is focused on providing EB-5 qualified investment opportunities in underdeveloped areas of the Puget Sound Region of Washington state, which is anchored by the city of Seattle. It believes that the three goals of job creation, investment return, and success in obtaining a green card are equally important and intertwined with each other. Stephen H. Smith, the president of Western Washington Regional Center, is the owner of Steve Smith Development LLC with a 24-year track record of mixed-use and multifamily projects throughout the Puget Sound region. Smith’s success is due to his careful analysis of each step in the development process and through the years, he has delivered high-quality apartment, condominium and mixed-use projects that have commanded premium pricing. In the aggregate, his portfolio includes the development and/or construction of nearly 4,000 units in 40 different projects valued in excess of $900 million.

TC Wu, the vice president of Western Washington Regional Center, has been involved in Seattle real estate for 12 years, having obtained his real estate license when he was only 19 years old. Wu earned a degree in finance from the University of Washington and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. He also serves as chief operating officer and sales team manager for WPI Real Estate Services, a full-service real estate company established in 1972. WPI’s portfolio under management includes more than 1,600 dwelling units, and various commercial buildings in over 260 different locations.
