Where can we live when immigrating through EB-5?

I plan on bringing my family to the United States through the EB-5 program. I have found some regional center projects which look like good options, but we do not want to live anywhere near them. Is it required that we move to a specific location when immigrating through EB-5, like near the regional center project? Where are we allowed to live once we come to the United States?

You are not required to live in any specific location when immigrating through EB-5 program, particularly if you are coming in through investment through a regional center. You can live anywhere in the United States.

You are allowed to live anywhere. Some people prefer to be near the investment during the EB-5 process.

The EB-5 regulations do not require the investor to live in the same location as the EB-5 project.

You can live anywhere in the United States. The regional center program does not require you to live in the same geographic area as the project.

The beauty of the EB-5 process, particularly through a regional center project, is that when you come into the United States with your immigrant visa and conditional green card, you can live anywhere you wish instead of where the project/business is located.

If you bring your family to the United States through an EB-5 investment in a regional center project, you can choose to live anywhere you like in the United States. There is no requirement that an EB-5 investor in a regional center investment live in any particular place, and there is no need for such an investor to live anywhere near the regional center project. Many regional center EB-5 investors will invest in a regional center project that is nowhere near the place in the United States where they will live.

If you choose to be a passive investor in either a regional center projector a direct (pooled) project, there is no requirement that you reside anywhere near the project. If you are investing into your own entrepreneurial project, then you would need to live close by so that you can oversee it, unless you hire a manager.

One great part of the regional center concept is that you can live anywhere you wish in the United States.

You do not have to live in the same location as where you invest, if you choose to invest through an EB-5 regional center. You may live anywhere in the United States upon receiving your conditional residency.

Once an EB-5 visa is granted, you can live anywhere in the United States. You do not have to live in the state where the regional center/project exists.
