How will EB-5 retrogression affect non-Chinese applicants?

I am planning to enroll in an EB-5 regional center program before the Dec. 11 deadline. I have heard a lot about the possible “retrogression.” I am wondering how retrogression affects non-Chinese EB-5 applicants (Taiwanese in my case)? How much influence on the application processing timetable is retrogression expected to have?

It will not affect you. It only affects mainland China nationals.

Non-mainland Chinese, such as people from Taiwan or Hong Kong, are not affected by the Chinese visa retrogression. So, you do not have to worry about it.

It really does not. Projects may create separate timelines for repayment for Chinese and non-Chinese investors, but that would likely be the extent of it.

Retrogression for China will have no impact on processing for applications from any country other than China.

Retrogression only applies to applicants who were born in the People's Republic of China - there is no effect outside of this group.
