How do I remove my child from the DS-260 Immigrant Visa Electronic Application?

If your child does not intend to immigrate with you, you would want to properly disclose all information about your child even though you do not plan to bring him with you. All you need to do is answer the proper questions regarding your information and the fact that you have a child, but do not complete any portion showing that your child is an applicant for an immigrant visa as your dependent.

You can notify the National Visa Center (NVC).

An experienced EB-5 immigration attorney will be able to assist you. Once you correspond with the NVC ( National Visa Center) and follow their instructions, your child will be removed from the conditional permanent residency application process through the U.S. Consulate.

A letter to the consulate would be sufficient. Maybe the letter notarized, as well.

Your immigration lawyer should be able to notify the NVC on your behalf and remove any derivatives you wish to remove. He/she will have to attach the divorce decree with the custody agreement, giving your spouse the custody of that child; thus you cannot take the child out of the country without that spouse.

Just stop processing the application. It means you are abandoning the application. If you feel you need a counsel, consult an immigration attorney.

You will just have to notify NVC or the consulate, depending on what stage your case is at.
