Teni Shahiean is the CEO and principal of OTS Solicitors Ltd. She has more than 12 years of experience practicing immigration law. She is proficient in all aspects of corporate and high net worth immigration. Her range of experience covers Tier 1 Investor Visas and Entrepreneur Visas, Tier 2 Sponsorship Licenses, Sole Representative Visas and much more.

Shahiean has served various business clients, meeting their immigration needs in the points-based immigration system. She has represented large, international companies in cases involving U.K. visa sponsorship applications, Tier 2 (General) visa applications as well as Tier 2 (Intra-company Transfer) visa applications. She also has extensive experience offering legal advice to employers, specifically on employer responsibilities when employing migrant workers, effectively implementing HR systems and other processes such as those that prevent civil penalties. Shahiean also has a vast amount of experience assisting individual clients with their immigration needs, including reuniting families together.

When Shahiean worked for a leading London immigration law firm, she was awarded an Immigration and Asylum Accreditation by the Law Society. She has also been invited to speak on various talk shows and on panel discussions. In 2016, Shahiean was invited on the BBC television show Victoria Derbyshire to discuss the various consequences of Brexit on immigration policy in the U.K. Shahiean has also been ranked by the Legal 500 as a recommended immigration solicitor.

Shahiean is currently an active member of the Immigration Law Practitioners’ Association and the Human Rights International Action Team at the Law Society, as well as active in the British Armenian community. She played a key role in the revival the British Armenian Lawyers Association. For the association, which has significantly grown in its membership, Shahiean coordinates various events, manages projects with other lawyers in the community and helps to mentor law students.

In 2004, Shahiean graduated with a dual-degree in law and business after completing her Legal Practice Course the year before. Following these accomplishments, in 2008, she became qualified as an immigration and employment solicitor. She speaks Armenian fluently and is conversational in Farsi.
