Shahanara Chowdhury

Shahanara Chowdhury is a UK immigration advisor working at Sterling Immigration Ltd. Sterling Immigration is licensed to practice both Canadian and UK immigration law. Chowdhury works out of the firm’s UK office, which includes the practice areas of corporate services for UK-based employers, employment-based visas, family visas, immigration appeals and investment services. Chowdhury was accredited as a Level 2 Senior Caseworker by the Law Society’s Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme and is also qualified as an attorney with Duncan Lewis Solicitors. She has been authorized as a Solicitor of the Senior Courts and a Level 2 OISC Immigration Counsel.

Prior to Sterling Immigration Ltd, Chowdhury worked at the Immigration Advisory Service, gaining more than 10 years of experience providing UK immigration advice as well as representing both individual and corporate clients. She has experience preparing complex UK immigration applications and appeals covering administrative review after visa refusals, family visas, representative of an overseas business visas, visa sponsorship for employers, Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) visas, Tier 1 (Investor) visas, Tier 2 (General) visa, Tier 2 Intra Company Transfer Visa (ICT) and many other immigration matters.

Chowdhury was educated in the United Kingdom, where she completed her Bachelor of Laws degree and her Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice. In her spare time, she supports various charitable groups. She is fluent in English and Bengali, conversant in Urdu and Hindi and can also speak basic Spanish.
