About Osvaldo F Torres
Osvaldo F. Torres is an EB-5 securities attorney and heads his own boutique law firm, Torres Law, P.A., based in South Florida. Attorney Torres assists clients in negotiating and effecting corporate and securities transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, offerings, and other deals. He has worked in the EB-5 field for the last five years, representing regional centers and projects in matters related to securities offerings and corporate structuring. Such offerings have involved a variety of industries, including restaurants, hotel development, healthcare companies, and more.
Attorney Torres also has extensive experience in handling legal matters concerning media, employment and severance, stock market trading, international and domestic joint ventures, and distribution and licensing of various products. His clientele has included stock market traders, media personnel such as artists, actors, and actresses, and others. Furthermore, he has experience in litigation case strategies, legal department management, as well as coordination of lobbying efforts.
Before founding his own law firm, Attorney Torres served as a corporate attorney at firms such as Greenberg Traurig, LLP, and Schulte Roth & Zabel. His professional experience also includes work for the HBO Latin America Group, along with the Telemundo Group as general counsel and senior vice president. After earning his Bachelor of Arts in English literature and Spanish literature, magna cum laude, from the University of Buffalo, Attorney Torres completed his Juris Doctor at the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1987. As a law student, he was the editor-in-chief of the Penn Law Forum. He is currently registered in good standing with the New York State Bar and the Florida State Bar.
Attorney Torres serves on the EB-5 SEC Roundtable, the Compliance Committee for IIUSA, and the EB5 Investment Coalition’s Steering Committee. He is also a frequent speaker on EB-5 securities issues at conferences.
