About Florida Gateway Regional Center
Florida Gateway Regional Center, located in Winter Garden, Fla., was designated as an EB-5 Regional Center by USCIS in November 2013. It was first established in April 2011 in order to promote growth and development in the economically depressed counties of North Florida, and has since received USCIS designation. Florida Gateway Regional Center develops its own projects for EB-5 funds, to ensure that USCIS’s job creation standards will be met. This also decreases downtime, as the projects are “shovel-ready.” EB-5 projects are currently located in Hamilton County, Fla., which is TEA eligible. They have experience with real estate investments, rental properties, and senior care services.
The two key individuals behind the Florida Gateway Regional Center are Raj Doobay and Jon Carleen. Raj Doobay is the founder and CEO of the regional center, and has operated businesses in the United States and Canada for over a decade. He has also spent the last five years running Florida Gateway Resort and its sister companies, Florida Gateway Real Estate Investments and Florida Gateway Communities in Hamilton County, Florida. Jon Carleen is the director of the Florida Gateway Regional Center and has been with the Florida Gateway companies for the past four years. He provides crucial knowledge and project experience to the regional center, and lends his architectural and landscaping background to all of the projects’ visualizations, layouts, and foundations.
Florida Gateway Regional Center also employs its own immigration attorney, Christopher Thomas. He is an immigration lawyer who has been with Florida Gateway Regional Center since its application to become a regional center, and consults for other necessary immigration forms.
