She served as a campus newspaper reporter while in college. She then worked for five years as a television producer for a nation-wide channel in South Korea. Attorney Hur then earned her law degree from the Indiana University, Bloomington School of Law. Attorney Hur was admitted to practice law in Illinois in 2005 and in California in 2007.
Attorney Hur is active in the free legal clinic of Korean American Community Services and the Korean American Bar Association. She is also a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
