Attorney Furness graduated with an undergraduate degree in political science from Charleston Southern University. He graduated with a Masters of Law in trial advocacy from the Beasley School of Law at Temple University. He later graduated with his Juris Doctorate degree from the Franklin Pierce Law Center at the University of New Hampshire. He served as an extern judicial law clerk for the Federal Magistrate Judge, the Honorable James R. Muirhead, for the U.S. District of New Hampshire. He is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), the Association of Federal Defense Attorneys (AFDA) and the Washington Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (WACDL).
