About Dana Bucin
Dana Roxana Bucin is an EB-5 immigration attorney at Updike, Kelly & Spellacy, P.C., with offices in Hartford, Middletown, and New Haven, Conn. Updike, Kelly & Spellacy, P.C. is able to represent both businesses and individual clients seeking to obtain visas, green cards or naturalization. Attorney Bucin has experience in representing both businesses and individual clients and aiding them with their green card applications. She worked as an export assistant for a Romanian manufacturer and exporter of garden furniture. She was also an intern for local development at an international port facility in Venezuela.
Attorney Bucin is a highly decorated attorney with numerous awards and accomplishments. She was named a Rising Star, a designation only reserved for the top 2.5 percent of attorneys in a given state, by SuperLawyers Magazine in 2011 and 2012. She was also listed under “New Leaders in the Law” by the CT Law Tribune in 2012. In 2010, attorney Bucin was part of the Women in the Law High Achievers, as designated by the Connecticut Law Tribune. Attorney Bucin was also honored as a “40 Under Forty” award recipient by the Hartford Business Journal in 2009 for her work in the greater Hartford community.
Attorney Bucin graduated from the Boston University School of Law with a Juris Doctor in international law. Prior to this, she received her bachelor’s degree summa cum laude with a major in international business, politics and government, and romance languages from Ohio Wesleyan University. During her time in university, attorney Bucin received the Woltemade Award for International Business and was a Business and Entrepreneurial Scholar.
Attorney Bucin is also highly active in the immigration community and holds memberships in many associations. She is a chair for the EB-5 committee and the French committee in the MetroHartford International Business Council. She is also a chair in both the World Affairs Council of CT and the Connecticut Bar Association. Attorney Bucin was named to the board of directors in the Hartford chapter of the CrossRoads Venture Groups and was a founding member of CEENET (Central and Easter European Network). She is also a member of the American Immigration Lawyer Association and the Meritas Leadership Institute.
